Quiver

Taken from SS's Joint.

Damn. I'm a sucker for quiver shots.

They are more than just boards. Each one is full of memories, dings that tell stories, and future tubes.

Another New One

New Sleds

Where Eagles Dare picked up a choice 5'7" Frodo bat tail quad. EC has made some adjustments since I got mine a year ago. Pulled in tail, pushed up wide point, different deck, and slight concave adjustments. Looks so fresh, and so clean. He will run some Speed Dialer Cutaways.

P-cakes also picked up a 6'1" EC Ryder quad. Makes me want to get an actual shortboard, kinda. Not really. Looks sick though.

DoucheMcGregor, WhereEaglesDare, and I picked up Douche's new 9'4" "Modad" this morning from Steve over at Aloha Glassing.

EC is all about B.T.S. Bringing the Sickness.

Nose Slut

TJ's Harbour Nose Rider has been sitting in my garage for a quick minute. I am fixing a ding in the tail some barnyard put into it.

Anyways, the thing is killer. Nice outline, a shitload of tail kick, and a bunch of nose concave.

Basically designed to snort 8 balls of wave noserideage off the urinals in the men's room at Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa while some roided out Affliction bro takes a shot of HGH in the ass after he slams some nameless chick in the stall next to you while some other dude is barfing vodka sodas out of his burning nostrils into the sink. Hey, it happens.

Eric Christenson

My brother and I went over to EC's house today to order some new sleds.

I ordered a 9'3" Diamond tail Mod Sled. Single fin box (black). No leash plug. Sand finish. No color. Whatever logos EC wants, which will probably be none on the bottom and the bike logo on the deck. Six-Double-Six glassing. Should be sick. I think the dims are about 22.5" x 2 7/8"

My brother ordered a 5'7" Frodo bat-tail quad. Future fin boxes with Speeddialer turbos. No Color. Sand finish. Same exact dims as my Frankenstein board. EC said he has tweaked the design a bit, so it should be rad to compare and contrast the two sleds for him.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Anyways, EC had a stack of boards in the corner he has for sale. Here are some of them.

5'4" Bat Tail Twin Bat-Keel with art work by Randy Noborikawa. His other website is El Sugar Skull.

The fins are hand foiled baltic birch marine plywood. EC said it takes about a solid hour foil one of these fins....and he busted the tips off of three of them before he ended up with two.

This board is ready to ride. Functional art.

$1,800. Email surf.destroy@gmail.com for details or give EC a call @ 949.872.7013

The other board he had was a 5'9"x21" x 2.5" EPS Frodo Bat-tail quad. FCS fusion fin boxes.

I have a 5'7" Frodo and it is one of my favorite boards. My brother loves mine and he ordered one too. Douche McGregor just ordered a 5'8". A choice sled.

$500. Email surf.destroy@gmail.com for details or give EC a call @ 949.872.7013

Buy a board. Support local craftsmen. I'll even throw in a sixer of homebrew.

Gato Heroi Hull

This thing is on loan from a friend. So far it is pretty rad. Douche and Turkey rode it and have given it a stamp of approval. We all agreed it was not an "everyday" board. It works well when it is down the line and speedy, like a point, what they were originally made for.

I snapped some crappy photos of the thing. I will post the dims later.

E Sizzle

I went into Shelter the other day. Ran into Worm from Bang Bang Club.

We didn't get to talk for too long...my girlfriend (whom I love dearly) has about a 4 second attention fan when we go into surfshops, bookstores, Amoeba...stuff like that...she did get me a rad Pendleton afterwards though, so I'll call it even.

Anyways, the shop was lookin' pretty good.

They have some Eric Christenson's in. EC rules.

On a related EC note. DoucheMcgregor cut the pintail off his Daddy O and turned it into a square tail. It is now an 8'10" (photos soon)

5'8" Yo Mobile

5'10" Phantom of the Agua

I will hopefully be ordering some new EC sleds soon. One problem. I gotta sell some to buy some. : (

Seal Beach Gun Club

I found this on the Harbour Website. Looks like it is a lam from a board belonging to MDJ. Cloudbreak anyone?

The quote on the laminate says: "Make waves...not friends." So fvcking radical.

Kookbox Has Landed

Joel Tudor's new board company, Kookbox, has just launched their new website.

I can't wait to see people's reactions about how this stuff doesn't work, looks weird, is lame, will never outperform a thruster, etc.

This shit wasn't made for you. Much like Arrogant Bastard wasn't made for the average beer queer. You like it or you don't. Do me a favor, and read the label of an Arrogant Bastard...it's the truth.

Sell out for Surftech? Whatver. Burned you at Swami's, deal with it.

I know all of the designer hippies at Mollusk, Thalia, and Shelter will be creamin' their jeans for some of these sleds.

The trailer for Shorter looks bitchin' too.

9.12.2008

fresh coat

I stripped the old wax off of the frodo and put some fresh quick humps on it. Goin' down to pooport to shred with the boys tomorrow.

So fresh and so clean...and full of pressure dings.

I rode the shit out of this thing the day after I picked it up from EC. I never had the patience to let my sleds cure.

New Harbour Surfboards Website Up

We were giving TJ shit about the Harbour website not being updated with new boards and team riders. Well, it is finally here.

Harbour Surfboards

It's lookin' good.

So is TJ...

7.26.2008

Video from Svrf&Destroy fiend Masa Tom. He shreds for Harbour Surfboards these days. Here is a video he made with Cyrus Sutton and Trevor Lucca.

Cyrus and TJ Shredding

My good buds from high school, Cyrus Sutton and TJ Ridings have been busy shredding their new Harbour Noseriders lately.

Some Japanese dude make silent films of them surfing. Pretty cool.

Here is the description of the video, "ハーバーサーフボード創立50周年を迎えるにあたってリリースさ れるノーズライダー。リッチ・ハー"

Translation: Get a Harbour Noserider...I actually plan on it. On January second I am going to order one, so I can get it with the 50 year anniversary logo. Tight.

New Shred Sleds

My buddy Tyler is gearing up for a boat trip to Indo. Rad, I know.

Anyways, he had two new Stretch Round Pin Quads dropped off today. A 6'3" and a 6'6"...

Kinda bums you out to look at them when the waves suck here huh?

Sorry the pictures suck.

Your Daily Donkey

I made it. That's me: ShredTheGnar aka Danimal aka Surf.Destroy.

I started a new thread about flailing on the erBB with this photo taken by captmouth.

It ended up on Your Daily Donkey!

San O

I surfed San O today after work. I picked up the old lady. Booked it down the 5 (In the carpool lane, thanks babe.) Pulled out the kook killer and got my shred on.

That is Matt Johnson.

Charlie Don't Surf

9'2" Mod Sled by Eric Christenson. Douche McGregor can vouch for how much this board rules.
